Dear Lee Family,

I am on my way home from spending a few days with my sister and her husband in Germany. They are Anne and Richard Clement who are serving as the senior missionary couple in Darmstadt. They absolutely love the opportunity that they have to serve with your son and the other missionaries. During the time I was there, I had the chance to spend time with them as well—including attending two district meetings (and lunch afterward), a ward mission planning meeting, a brief interaction at last Thursday’s football night in the cultural hall, and church on Easter Sunday. I told the missionaries that if they would share their parents’ addresses, I would send you all an update as well as these pictures that I took at Tuesday’s district meeting.

It was a pleasure to meet Elder Lee and to hear and see his enthusiasm for his mission. The great thing about district meetings is that I got to watch him teach and be taught, role play, plan, sing, and pray (his German is sounding good) during the meeting itself and then, during lunch, watch him relax, laugh, and simply enjoy being with other righteous young men and women who also love the Lord and this opportunity to serve Him. (The common theme among the Elders is how much hair they will lose and/or how much weight they will gain. They have a good sense of humor about both possibilities. He looks great!) He and Elder Heil seem to get along and work well together.

He and the missionaries serving in Germany and throughout the world are in my prayers.

Sincerely,

Marilyn Jenson
